Hello!
We are a group of researchers from the University of Silesia in Poland and La Trobe University in Australia, and we would be pleased to invite you to take part in our study on the experiences of inertia among neurodivergent adults.
Inertia is a state where it feels very hard to start even simple tasks, decide what to do first, or make choices. It often occurs when demands on your attention and focus feel overwhelming, or when sensory input is too intense. Many neurodivergent people describe experiencing inertia, but it has received little research attention so far.
This study aims to better understand how neurodivergent people experience inertia. By taking part, you will help us improve our understanding of inertia and develop a questionnaire to measure it.
Who is invited: Everyone over 18 years of age.
Procedure:You will be asked to read a Participant Information and Consent form and confirm that you agree to take part in our study, and then to complete a set of online questionnaires.
Duration: The study will take approximately 25 minutes to complete.
Confidentiality: Your responses will be kept strictly confidential and used for this research purpose only. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without penalty.
Benefits: At the end of the study, you will receive a free psychoeducational resource with tips on coping with inertia.
Thank you very much for your interest in our study!
